Currently playing on the Clinton Area Showboat Theater Stage is “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”. This is a really funny performance that almost anyone will identify with at some stage of their life.

This cast is terrific, especially when you consider all the character, scene, and costume changes.  Each performer has about 10 character changes. “I Love You” takes you through all of the adult stages of your life.

The set is of two huge hearts and romantic scenes around the edges.  The choreography is by Kay Allmand. There is the live accompaniment of pianist Adam Wiggins and violinist Kristen Jones. They add a great emphasis to the many changes.

The four perfomers are Josh Estrada, Alison Luff, Josh Wright and Jennifer Gilbert. They showcase their great talents in voice, dance and acting and great energy.

The story takes you from the first date (second, third etc.) in one meeting, through trying to impress each other, through to being parents, losing someone etc. Some of the great scenes are “Cause I’m a Guy”, “Tear Jerk” (the movie scene), “Single Man Draught”,

“Sex and the Married Couple”, the car scene of “The Family that Drives Together”, “Waiting”, the moving “Shouldn’t I Be Less In Love With You?” and “Funerals Are For Dating”.

This is a very fun show! “I Love You, Your Perfect, Now Change” is playing on the Clinton Area Showboat Theater Stage through July 22nd.
